Vila Garota

Vila Garota is a pilot project exploring the symbiosis between product and architecture: a single-story Mediterranean villa conceived as a continuous landscape, where furniture, lighting and space are designed as one language rather than as separate layers.

The house is organized around light, stone and vegetation. Travertine and warm micro-cement surfaces, walnut joinery and full-height glazing dissolve the boundary between interior and garden, while olive trees, lavender and a reflecting pool anchor the project firmly in the Mediterranean.

Within this envelope, my own pieces are not placed as objects but integrated as part of the architecture. The red upholstered sofa and the terracotta leather bench—both resting on polished stainless-steel cylinders—introduce colour and craft against the neutral shell. Solid stone armchairs, a walnut table on a travertine base and sculptural lighting extend the same material dialogue across the living, dining and sleeping areas.

A circular opening—a contemporary moon gate—links the living room with the dining space, framing views and guiding movement through the home. Every room is calibrated around natural light and the surrounding landscape, turning the villa into a quiet demonstration of how product design and architecture can be conceived together.
